Second Plant Group- Shrubs or Bushes


Shrubs or bushes are low, woody plants, usually having many stems branching close to the grounded.Many of these plants bear beautiful, brightly colored flowers.These flowers maybe fragrant, odorous or odorless.Rose and sampaguita have fragrant flowers or flat green bodies that resemble leaves.On the under surfaces are root like structures but no true roots.

Mosses show the beginning of roots,stems and leaves.They were the first green plants to stand erect.Algae,liverworts and horn wort's lie flat on the ground,on bark or on the leaves of same other plants.
